How plant medicines can support your new year’s resolutions and create lasting change in your life

What are you intending for the New Year?!

The New Year is a pivotal time, as the collective pauses to reflect on the past, and consider what they would like to manifest in the coming year. This time of year can be a profound time for reset, and for working with sacred medicines that can help bring new mental and emotional patterns and ways of being into fruition.

Last night, under the starry December sky, a small group of us sat by a crackling fire at Sky Temple and did a ritual of setting intentions that felt just right for the new year.

This ritual got me thinking about resolutions and intentions and their connection to sacred medicines.

Most of the time, when people create a New Year’s resolution, they’re barely scratching the surface of what’s possible.

For instance, a lot of people go on a diet and lose weight in the new year, only to have all the pounds return a few months later. Other popular New Year’s resolutions include giving up alcohol, finding a romantic partner, or expanding one’s career. These are great things to aspire to, but unless you’re changing and updating the deeper patterning that’s keeping you from reaching your goals, you might not reap the deeper benefits of a true transformation and shift in your psyche.

This is where sacred medicines and guided medicine journeys can really be beneficial.

Plant medicines can help us heal on a deep level that creates true positive change.

An expert Medicine Guide can help you work with the medicine to reveal and heal the deep emotional roots of issues with  – weight gain, addiction, depression, anxiety, interpersonal relationships, career issues and more. Guided medicine journeys can help you transform, alchemize and release those unconscious patterns, making way for long-lasting positive change and improvement in all areas of your life. Sacred medicines help you “reprogram” the “software” of the mind from old, stuck patterns into new, healthy ways of doing and being, so you can be the best version of yourself.

More often than not, each ceremony builds upon the next. Hence, the resolution/intention that you start off with at the beginning of this year can morph into much deeper levels of understanding as your ceremonial work progresses. Having a Guide to hold the ceremonial container and celebrate these milestones with you is key!

Another beautiful thing about guided medicine journeys is that they can be visionary experiences full of inspiration and expansion.

Sacred medicines can help you connect with the mystery, and gain clarity on what’s truly possible in your life. An expert Medicine Guide can help you to enter this creative space, interpret your experience, and ultimately apply it to your life in a practical way, to achieve your goals and resolutions. Many of my clients have found that medicine journeys are an excellent way to find meaning, expand creativity, and kickstart projects or new phases of life. If this is something you’d like to explore further, I’d be happy to meet you for a free discovery session to discuss what guided medicine journeys can do for you.

Another issue with many people’s New Year’s resolutions is that they lack planning and accountability. People make promises to themselves for the new year, but often don’t create a plan to actually achieve their goals, and no one’s checking their progress.

People are much more likely to follow through on their resolutions if they have a solid plan of action and are being held accountable.

This is why folks who have accountability buddies at the gym generally have better success than those who go it alone. I provide extensive support in planning and accountability as part of all of my packages, and would love to help you in these areas.

Another form of accountability is joining the Ganesha Group! An entire tribe of people dedicated to deepening into their own personal practices and evolvement as well as deepening into community.

Sacred medicines can be powerful tools for self-exploration and diving into true alchemy transformation when used responsibly and in the right context.

I like to emphasize the importance of having a holistic approach of tackling both mind, body, and spirit when doing this work.

In my own practice, this means working with clients through a truly holistic framework – meditation and mantra, sacred medicines, movement rituals and practices, getting back to nature, eating with the seasons, reframing thoughts and beliefs as well as helping clients to connect to their higher power and purpose while restoring energy and vitality.

Over the years, my clients have moved mountains and transformed their lives dramatically. You can too.

If you feel so called, I’d love to offer you a free consultation to discuss how I can support you in achieving your 2024 New Year’s resolutions, and more importantly, lasting positive change and transformation.

My wish is that 2024 be a year of great health, wealth, happiness and joy for you.
